The vision of I/UCRCs is to expand the innovation capacity of our nation’s competitive workforce through partnerships between industries and universities.  The Center for Advanced Drying in Research will be primarily funded by industry members, non-NSF federal agencies and other organizations. Those manufacturing industry sectors involved in the energy-intensive drying process of moist, porous materials includes Agriculture, Food, Biotechnology, CPG, Medical and Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Semiconductor, Textiles, and Forest Products.
