Dr. Hao Feng Retires

We wanted to share that Professor Hao Feng has retired from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and will become the director of a new center (Urban Food Systems) at North Carolina A&T University. This is an incredible opportunity for Dr. Feng and we wish him all the best.

Dr. Feng received both his BE degree and a postgraduate certificate in chemical machinery engineering from the Dalian University of Technology in 1982 and 1987, respectively. He worked in teaching and research at universities in China for ~10 years and then worked as a research officer in chemical and materials engineering at the University of Auckland, NZ for ~2 years. He subsequently obtained his Ph.D. from Washington State University in 2000 before joining Food Science & Human Nutrition (FSHN) at UIUC  in 2001 as an assistant professor of food process engineering.

He will continue the research he is currently doing with us at CARD and we look forward to staying in continuous contact with him.

Congratulations Dr. Feng!

Thank you Dr. Feng for your services to CARD as one of the inaugural team members and Site Lead at the University of Illinois. It has been a delight for me and others to work with you on developing novel drying processes for the food and ag industry and others.
